ARRO-USA is a new nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a primary focus on assisting Afghan immigrants integrate into their new communities, connect with each other, and celebrate their culture with one another and their American neighbors. ARRO was first established successfully in Brazil. Now, ARRO’s American branch, based in Reston, VA, is operating in the greater Washington, DC, region, with plans to expand across the US and to connect with Afghans across the diaspora and in Afghanistan. Our hope, our prayer is for the eventual reconstruction of Afghanistan.
ARRO’s Current Role
At this stage, ARRO-USA operates as a resource hub to help Afghan immigrants connect with existing government and nonprofit social services in their local communities to obtain housing and food, education and job training, health care, legal assistance, e. It also provides cultural gatherings and events—bringing together the Afghan community.
Wherever there is need, in every corner of the world, we stand with the people of Afghanistan.
Here in the US and starting in the National Capital Area, ARRO connects Afghan refugees with government and non-profit organizations that assist with housing, English classes and other education, job training, and legal services.
ARRO is also committed to bringing Afghans together to preserve traditions and culture through community gatherings featuring Afghan food, crafts, music and more. Check our calendar for upcoming activities and events!
We believe that migration is not just a geographic transition; it is a critical phase of life that requires support, guidance, and empowerment. At the same time, those inside Afghanistan continue to need assistance for survival, recovery, and social growth. ARRO looks forward to expanding its reach and services across the US, the diaspora, and Afghanistan.
